The article describes the history of creation of Russian reference materials (RMs), the stages of start-up and development of the Institute for Certified Reference Materials as a main producer of RMs of metallurgical production in Russia. The article considers the experience of the Institute for Certified Reference Materials for RMs development and metrological assurance of quantity chemical analysis based on their use.

The history of "ENFMPP" has almost 100 years. The first sample, certified as a reference material, was issued in 1965. Since, over 1200 reference materials (as RM sets or single RM) of fine precious metals (PM) and PM and non-ferrous metal alloys were produced. The latest issue is certified reference materials of fine gold needed for laboratories in Russia and other countries. At present time the JSC "ENFMPP" has all the capacities (technical and professional ones) to produce and certify reference materials of precious metals.

The article deals with the development of the branch for the reference materials production in the Joint Stock Company "The Gulidov Krasnoyarsk Non-Ferrous Metals Plant" (JSC "Krastsvetmet"). Here the most important workings for reference materials including the work for the London precious metal exchange, current and future works are stated.

The article describes the general information about the development and estimation of metrological characteristics of the approved type reference material of composition for non-ferrous metals and their alloys produced by LLC "Victory-Standard"

Siberian Research and Design Institute for Nonferrous Metallurgy (JSC “Sibtsvetmetniiproekt”) was established in August 1949 for the technology development for the nonferrous ore extraction and treatment as well as for the engineering of mining plants in Siberia and the Russian Far East. Nowadays JSC "Sibtsvetmetniiproekt" continues to develop the quality projects and actual technology for material treatment for new mineral companies as well as reference materials for composition of technological conversion products. During 1970-2012 JSC "Sibtsvetmetniiproekt" developed 83 reference materials which includes 42 types of State reference materials for silver, cuprum, silver alloys with noble metals, cuprum alloys with noble metals, ores, mattes, sludge, concentrates etc., State reference materials for fluorites as well as 41 types of in-house reference materials for the following companies: PJSC "Mining and Metallurgical Company 'Norilsk Nickel'", fluorite branches companies, OJSC "Gorevsky Gok" and others. All developed reference materials are high-demand and used by analytical department and testing laboratories of Russian and foreign leading academic and research companies, geological enterprises.

The article deals with the main stages of the development of activities of INTEGRSO branches in the field of the development of national reference materials of petrol and petroleum products composition and properties under the Program of the metrological assurance of petroleum processing plant products. The scientific and production program of metrological assurance of test methods and control means for petrol and petroleum product composition and properties on the basis of reference materials with trademark NPO "INTEGRSO" is self-fulfilled. From 1986 more than 185 types of reference materials were developed and produced including 36 types of import-substituting reference materials.

The article presents information about one of the largest in RF manufacturer of the approved types reference materials (GSO), intended for the metrological assurance of safety and quality parameters control for water, aqueous medium and different types ofproduction. It's shown measurement capabilities of the Center. It's also shown traceability schemes to primary standards and SI units for characterization results for all types of prodused CRM.

The article describes the experience of the development and production of certified reference materials intended for metrological maintenance of ecological and analytical measurement and control oil product quality.

Activities of the All-Russian Research Institute of Agrochemistry are outlined in the field of the development of interstate, state, and branch certified reference materials for the composition of soils, forages, foods, and raw materials used in the certification of analytical procedures, verification and calibration of measuring instruments, and intralaboratory tests, as well as in the organization and fulfillment of interlaboratory comparison tests within the framework of the metrological support of Russia agrochemical service. It is shown that the All-Russian Research Institute of Agrochemistry has developed the system of metrological supply of analytical work, which is based on the methodology of the development and application of certified reference materials for the composition of soils and plant products, and applied it in the laboratories of Russian agroindustrial complex.
